Just when I thought I was over the whole being sick thing, I have another migraine. The timing rather sucks as I had several things I wanted to do today and instead I’m barricaded in the cave that is my bedroom. I think the worst thing about the migraines is that I can’t read anything while I have one. Seems like such a waste of time to go without a book.

Anyway, here’s another portrait from our holiday card shoot of Uschi looking particularly cute. I would have preferred if this were on the plain white background, but it was the last photograph taken so what can you do?

As a reminder, I am planning to send holiday cards out on December 1st, so if you’re interested in receiving one please let me know soon!

This bares a bit of a resemblance to this photo of me and Yara. I am quite fond of that photo, but we weren’t necessarily trying to emulate it. Either way, I do rather like the result and I think the way Uschi’s has her paws makes her look almost demure.

Daylight Savings ended today, which means I’ll spend the week being off due to the extra hour. I don’t know why the gaining of time does that to me, but I definitely cope with the loss much easier. I have the same experience when flying to different timezones, too. Speaking of time, Christmas is in 50 days! It doesn’t seem possible that it’s so close already. Honestly, I feel like it was just March and somehow now we’re in November. I love the holiday season something fierce, but I hate feeling that I’m being rushed along into it. Then again, I do have all these holiday card portraits to share . . . so I decided that instead of posting them all at once like I usually do and making everyone feel rushed, I’ll spread them out and pad this daily posting thing a bit.

For today, one of our photographer Cindy’s favorites:

My only quibble with this photo is the way Uschi’s sitting, but for as strange as it looks it is a natural position for her.
