But last night’s episode of Nip/Tuck featured a blind character, played by actor Rick Boggs. In an industry where it is far more common for a sighted actor to play a blind role, it’s very interesting to note that Rick’s actually blind. The episode, entitled “Jeff and Magda” pokes a bit of fun at Hollywood’s practice of hiring blind people to coach a sighted actor playing a role of a blind person. If you missed it, like me, FX will be re-airing it several more times in the next week. I’ve personally never watched the show, but everyone I know who watches it has raved.
