I’ve decided that there should be a way to sort the categories in the display on the Post page in WordPress because I hate scrolling . . . and also I am lazy.
But anyway, no I don’t have photos to share. They’re still on the camera and that happens to be in the living room and I happen to be not in that room. The lazy is so hard to fight. [EDIT: Never mind.]
Aside from fighting lazy, Yara and I are trying to keep busy before our first day at VESID. Well, mostly me. Been trying to tidy and clean the house before the moving company arrives for their estimate. I’ve been trying to dispose of the junk I don’t need and/or want and organize for the inevitable packing, which I had intended to do the last time I moved. Best laid plans and all. And, of course, I’ve been checking around for apartments and the like. Not really much to report on that, I’m afraid, except that I’ve got an appointment to check out one tomorrow. Should make for a busy day, but at least I can finally pick up my new CCTV.
Oh, and before you ask, the New Year’s resolution remains fully intact. I’m also quite happy to report that I’ve limbered up a bit such that not every session of working out makes me feel as if the end of my life is imminent. Well, so long as you don’t count the fact that my gluts and abs are still a might on fire . . . .
As far as dog news, Yara’s now fully transitioned onto EVO.1 It’s a bit early to have anything concrete to go on, but she does seem to be shedding and pooping a bit less. Two things that could be attributed to other factors, such as me finally replacing the broken blade in my Furminator and the need to add another cup to her daily food portion. We’ll see. At the very least, she does seem to enjoy this food a lot more than Abady, going so far as to take some dry kibble as a treat. Of course, “cookies” are still most preferable.
As far as working, she still continues to impress me daily. We went grocery shopping yesterday and I spent the majority of the trip having a panic attack that she would get sick in the middle of the store again. But other than some mild sniffing, she didn’t have any problems at all. In fact, her shining moment was while we waited out front for the return bus, a toddler dropped an open bag of grapes at our feet and she didn’t even move from her spot lying on the floor.
I’ll say this, though, it’s a fine thing she’s a dog. The way people were talking up her behavior and beauty, she’d be hard-pressed to fit her ego through the door if she weren’t. Though, for the record, my all time favorite comment still remains, “Your dog is so pretty. Maybe because her eyes are so abnormally large.”2
Also, a reminder to fellow GDUI members: today is the last day to vote!
1. This change was based on several things and it should be noted that I deeply respect Fidelco’s very strong recommendation to remain on Abady. All opinions on dog food of any brand name can please to be kept to yourself. I, frankly, don’t care what you think. No offense.
2. Proof that Walmart shoppers are indeed very unique people.
